What this coin looks like (obverse, reverse, mint mark location, special features, etc.): There were two major versions of the 1827 Capped Bust Dime. The difference between the two varieties is in regards to the words "10 C." (10 cents) on the bottom of the reverse of the coin. One variety will have a flat-topped styled "1" while the other will have a pointed-topped styled "1". The "Flat Top 1" variety is considerably rarer and more valuable for 1827.
