One major variety is the 1879 CC Morgan Silver Dollar featuring a CC Over CC repunched mintmark (RPM). This is also known as the "Capped Die" variety due to this coin being struck by a rusty die which resulted in a crusty mess around the "CC" mintmark. Although it may be hard to tell - but this variety is actually a doubled mint mark variety where the "CC" mint mark was struck over another "CC" mint mark.
