USA Coin Book Item ID Number:
75620
Coin Condition:
AU extra fine
**Uncertified **A very rare find, surprised this showed up at the top of my pile today. It seems nearly uncirculated, and that is very rare for a dime or nickel.
This coin is particularly special due to the date and the low production , only 25 years for the 3 cent. This one is even more rare for the reason that it is in an uncanny condition of extra fine, if professionally graded perhaps near uncirculated ? The fine details remain from the outer ridges to the lettering and lines outlining the strings of hair.
This date was instrumental in kicking off the post Civil War changes like The 1868 Arkansas Constitution contained all of the provisions required by the Second Reconstruction Act for Arkansas to be readmitted to the Union. It gave black men in Arkansas the vote for the first time and established a public school system, albeit a segregated one.
While I have tested this for silver in all ways I can without damaging it, I encourage you to ask questions, more photos, even a video if that helps. As you can see I have a large collection yet to go through, and am also happy to find a coin you may be in search of. My goal is to get these in the hands of those who will value them, as they are left behind from my great grandfather and I am not an expert collector.
I ship with care and speed, as well as offer returns to ensure credibility. I also like to have fun and throw in a surprise coin from the pile with it.
Open to all feedback and critique as I venture this new exploration in ignorance but enthusiasm :)
Cheers!
