In my opinion, here's an example of a Philly working die, that's seen its number of strikes, before being shipped off to the "Old Granite Lady," with an S punched into it, and then used for the remainder of its short life. And that's one of the reasons a 1910-S is worth more than a 1910: Less struck=less produced=harder to find! Or, fewer working dies where sent to SF and used to a greater extent than the philly dies (with Philly dies being switch out more often, thus the continuous sharper strikes from Philly.
Thanks for your time,
James
