This 1913-D Barber Half Dollar is certainly a Choice Very Good (Vg-10) grade that meets several characteristics of grade Fine. One the reverse it has a full motto on the ribbon, half of the top shield lines are visible and nearly all of the bottom (vertical) shield lines are complete. The letters "LI" and "Y" are full and the top half of the "T" along with traces of the "B" and "R" are visible on "LIBERTY" on the obverse. All but the bottom two leaves are visible on Miss Liberty. 1913-D had a mintage of only 534,000 and thus it is a scarce date that becomes very scarce when the coin is graced by a nice original patina and a minimal amount of contact marks as this one is.
