This one is one of my better finds folks. On the show circuit you can find a 1925-S Lincoln Cent without a whole lot of leg work. If however you are looking for one that grades at least XF AND has a sharp strike then you really have your work cut out for you. This 25-S grades AU-53 and is sharply struck on both sides of the coin everywhere. The definition in the lines and leaves on the wheat strikes are strong than on some 25-S MS-63s I have seen. This coin is virtually contact mark free. There is a some doubling on the north side of the "9" on the date. I believe this is strike doubling because I don't see any other doubling on the coin. If you don't know what strike doubling is this where you find shelf like doubling in the letters or date of a coin. This might look like a genuine double die. While this "strike doubling" is mintmade is also what John Wexler and Charles Daughtery correctly call worthless doubling.
