1814 Large Date vs Small Date Capped Bust Dime
There were a few major varieties of the 1814 Capped Bust Dime. The two major ones deal with the size of the 1814 date on the coin. One variety had a larger date where the "8" lines up with the top of the "1"s in the date while the smaller date featured the "8" a little lower and smaller. The difference between the 1814 Small Date vs Large Date Capped Bust Dime is depicted in the example image above.

Another variety was the 1814 "STATESOFAMERICA" dime which has no spacing between the words "STATES OF AMERICA" on the reverse of the coin.
