What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):
2021 (P) Bullion American Silver Eagle - Type 1
The 2021 (P) Silver Eagle is an Emergency Production Issue coin produced by the Philadelphia Mint to help meet demand for the Silver Eagles during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 495000 were produced. The Philadelphia Mint coins are identified by the serial numbers between 400001 and 400991 for 990 of the 500-coin monster boxes. Because there are no "P" mint marks on these coins and they are nearly indistinguishable from West Point silver eagles - these serial numbers are the best way to identify these coins.
