1800 Draped Bust Half Dimes : LIBEKTY

What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):

A weak die caused a variety of 1800 Draped Bust Half Dimes to have a broken "R" in the word "LIBERTY" on the obverse of the coin. The top portion of the letter "R" was broken due to the worn die which resulted in what looks like the letter "K" with curled arms as featured in the example image above. Hence the name "LIBEKTY" came about as the name of the variety.
