1909 Very Choice BU Liberty Nickel, honest BU beauty, strong luster & detail. I have a very large slabbed collection of Liberty Nickels because they are one of my favorite series so I am very proficient at grading them. If you are interested in a particular date slabbed MS63-MS67, I probably have it. This is a nice choice example, an honestly graded piece picked up in my many travels. Very original and untouched. This piece easily meets the standards for a MS64 grade as per PCGS grading standards and my extensive personal PCGS grading set. I personally put it at MS64.
Please Note: I have seen many 'BU' lib nicks on ebay and elsewhere lately that are covered in nicks and marks. This should not happen and is unnatural- a choice BU coin should show very few surface marks and have full luster. Lots of nicks and marks across the surfaces is a tell-tale sign that a coin may have been doctored and worth much less as such. Buyer beware...
ALL COINS GUARANTEED GENUINE!
These were stored in an enviromentally secure safe for decades so many are still untarnished although they may show signs of very light toning beginning to form.
I have been anxiously trying to get some good clear close-up pics of some of my nicest choice and gem singles and finally found some time to get the job done. I am a picky collector, overly picky in most dealer's minds but it is *my* collection and my standards that matter when I'm buying a coin for my collection. That said, I could never go to a coin show or a new coin shop without cherry picking for the most eye appealing Choice and Gem BU singles I could find. I have a few of 2x2 boxes full of them that I will attempt to sell here over the coming months. I have been grading high-end coins proficiently since the 1970's, long before the hobby was blessed with professional grading, so I promise not to blow smoke up your hat. I know it is a leap of faith to buy a raw gem these days but you *will* receive a nice accurately graded coin and no nasty surprises with these- I will do my very best to search every square millimeter for those pesky tics and scratches, but it won't be the first time- I was always careful to look at them under the brightest light I could find and used a 10X loupe for good measure when purchasing them. If you are a gem enthusiast or perfectionist like me you will appreciate a gem from my stash. These are honestly nice- try one and see for yourself. Thanks for looking!

Although I have never been a coin dealer, I have over fifty years in the hobby and have spent a lot of time behind dealer's counters so you can rest assured that you'll get a fair grade and good value for your money. If you don't agree, just return it for a full refund, but I try hard to make sure it is described properly so that you'll never want to. I am only human too so please email me immediately if you aren't satisfied for any reason and I will work with you to make it right for you.
I mail all coins in full-view non-PVC flips so that you can see the ENTIRE coin. Any coin removed from it's sealed holder voids the return privilege.
