1914-D (KEY DATE) Lincoln Cent Extra Fine-40

This is a beautifully original coin in grade Extra Fine-40 (XF-40) which has a uniform color that falls halfway between crunch bar chocolate and dark hersey chocolate color as is reflection by the first picture of the reverse. It has a minimal amount of contact marks and no rim dings or distracting scratches. Most importantly this coin has a strike which is stronger than average and includes razor sharp details in the wheat lines and in three quarters of the leaves. This makes this particularly coin quite a find as it will match virtually any other Denver Mint Lincoln from 1911-1920 for detail in your set that grades XF-40. Normally 14-D comes with a strike that is somewhat softer, especially around Lincoln's ear, than the other D mints in those years except for 18-D which comes with even weaker strikes.
