Most 1923-S Lincoln Cents were struck with dies that exhibit peripheral die swelling especially around one or both wheat stalks. This usually causes the coin to have a reverse with significantly less strike definition than the obverse like the previous year's strikes in Denver on the 1922-D Cents. Although this coin shows leaves on the right stalk that are noticeably flatter than the leaves on the left stalk, this is still a sharp strike for this date. There is also a nice crisply clear "S" mintmark. Do not hesitate to add this coin to your collection today. A 23-S VF-30 with a Sharp Strike is a RARE coin that is much less often seen than an XF with a weak or average strike. (Stock #01c1923630 NLMPAP NLKTIKAD)
