1924 P Buffalo Nickel

Here is a 1924 P Buffalo Nickel that has been submitted to PCGS for restoration and graded as VF Detail because someone thought it a good idea to deface the coin with scratches. While I would love to be able to suggest that there is only 1 or 2, or that they are only on one side, the sad fact is that there is one on the front and several under the belly of the buffalo on the reverse. You can also see from the photos that, like so many Buffalo Nickels, the front is misaligned with the reverse by a few degrees. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a VF 20 coin would be worth $12 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to purchase a VF 20 coin from a dealer that you would pay approximately $11. However, because of its damaged condition, you can have this restored and graded coin for only $5 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.

Unlike my other coins, this one will NOT be sent Certified Mail. However, it might be advisable to purchase this coin with another that would be sent via Certified Mail. In this way, you would reduce the shipping cost AND still be able to have it tracked.

Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
