"What's A "Bugs Bunny?" --- The "Bugs Bunny" is a well known Franklin variety. It's the result of a die clash (i.e., when obverse & reverse dies strike each other without a planchet between them). This causes transfer of design elements from one die to the other & coins struck after the clash show the transferred image. Here the eagle's wing on the reverse created a clash mark on the obverse that resembles teeth. For more details see: http://www.franklinlover.yolasite.com/bugs-bunny.php#What's%20A%20Bugs
