Item Description
Took a look at the rim of the coin from the side and turned it and you can see the width of the copper and it goes from being half the width to almost all the width.So the amount of metal is not even do to the width of the copper so the coin is high at two spots across from each other one is the DATE and one is the word LIBERTY both are at the top of the rim.If you look behind his head at an angle you can see a spot where the metal is higher you can also see it from the pictures.Then it goes down where the open areas are now on the reverse side the level starts at the wings and goes around the rim on the bottom of the coin that is why you will see that part of the wing is in metal right where the vine is even part of the leaf is buried in it right above the letters A&R in the word DOLLAR.You can see that the edges are worn over by both wings because highest level of metal.What's cool is look on both sides of the eagles head and you will see a bunch of micro metal pieces which give off a beautiful effect you can even tell the flow of the metal pieces by the way they are lined up and following each other.
