Offered here for the collector is a 1971-P Lincoln Cent error coin.
Every now and then a newly struck coin will stick to the striking die, and becomes a Die Cap. When it goes undetected after many strikes, it's called a Late Stage Die Cap. At this point the cap is very thin and imparts much of the die's design right through the cap. Late Stage die Caps are a lot rarer than most errors because Die Caps are removed as soon as they're detected. If you'd like it for your collection, I'll send it out within one business day.
My prices are always based on condition and/or availability.
