1976 Bicentinnial Kennedy Half Dollar Missing Letters

The last two "LL" from independence hall is missing so it just says "INDEPENDENCE HA". The two "LL" can be faintly seen at an angle and there is a small depression where the missing letters are. I am not an error coin collector so I have no idea what type of error this is, the value of this error, nor the authenticity of this error.
