Seems the metal got to hot and bubbled up when you look at it close it looks like the skin of a orangutan monkey. That's the best way to describe it otherwise coin is beautiful all stairs are there. The rise in the metal is around Jefferson to the letters then it stops. On reverse side it circles around the building. Great looking coin for any collection.
