The Walking Liberty half dollar set is conceptually divided into three groups: the 1916-1929 "early dates," the 1933-1940 "middle dates," and the 1941-1947 "short set." The 1933-S sits on the cusp of the transition from early dates to middle dates. Bottom line, the 1933-S is a scarce coin at any appreciable quality.
The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was first introduced in 1916. This coin is an example of the earliest production years, and is popular among collectors from all over the world. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar is not only a piece of history, but a beautiful coin as well. This particular coin is nearly 100 years old, but remains in fine condition.
Grade is estimated based on all available descriptive information I have found, as well as on comparisons to multiple photos on numerous reputable sites. Price is set using "The Official Red Book "(2020).
