French 100 Francs 1897 Shell Card Token
This is an advertising shell card token signed by it’s maker CARTAUX followed by an FC monogram and PARIS on the reverse. The design is a copy of a real 100 franc coin type KM 832. On the obverse is the standing angel design above the word PARIS and the FC monogram. The reverse has the denomination and date in the center with the number 8 in the date being weakly struck. For some reason the scan makes this coin look much worse than it really is. This coin is in very nice condition with a very eye pleasing light brown color and mint luster highlighting the legends and design areas. $15.00 postpaid U.S. addresses only.
