Item Description
This is a listing for one of the lower mintage Morgan Silver Dollars, the 1904 S! The coin is still highly striking after 116 years. I don't believe the coin was ever in circulation, but has likely traded hands (collectors) numerous times. The sustaining luster is beautiful and heartwarming for collectors like myself. The coin has only minor wear marks, nothing significant at all in terms of scratches or foul marks. In comparison to MS Morgan's of this age, the Eagle's right wing has the detail of a MS62+ coin. The chest has the wear that degrades the coin the most, albeit laymen don't even realize the smooth chest is a dominant sign of wear with these guys. Aside from the Eagle chest, the only aspects that prevent this coin from a MS60+ grading is the hair around her ear and the minor detail missing from her coronet. The pictures speak for themselves. This coin is coveted if in MS within numismatist circles and this is as close to MS as they come without a mid to high 4 figure price tag. Serious inquiries only. $1,500 OBO.
