1894 P

This was the first coin I obtained before I started collecting seriously. When I was in high school I had a job demolishing home interiors. Old houses in blighted neighborhoods. It was a fun job because a lot of these homes had some really sweet antiques left behind. One day, I happened to be sweeping out a fireplace and as I grabbed the dust pan, I caught this coin out of the corner of my eye (my eyesight was better back then). If my curiosity didn't get the best of me this coin would have ended up in the garbage. I keep it to this day because of sentimental reasons.
