Key Date 1896-O Barber Half Dollar - Choice Original Surfaces in a VG Grade Range
A true liner grade-wise, but the #1 characteristic for me are the beautiful, unbutchered, original surfaces. Crusty with no hair lines, no rim dings, no scratches or verdigris or corrosion. Perfect rusty brown/gray thick patina.
Full Rims on both the Obverse and Reverse. Most of LTY and part of I in LIBERTY.. Most of the motto , E Pluribus Unum, is visible, sharp definition to the frame and wings of the eagle and some feather detail starting to show near the body. Just an overall gorgeous example of one of the toughest dates in the series to find, especially with original surfaces and no surface or rim problems to mention.
