Technically Red Brown by the standards of the grading services, however with most of the Red remaining, just a bit "faded" on the Reverse. The small "squiggle" above Liberty's head is a lint mark left from a small thread being on the planchet or die when struck. These used to be very common in the 19th Century, from the dies being wiped to remove accumulated grease and detritus - obviously still a "QC" problem at the Mint in the early 20th Century. As the Small Cent was technically of limited Legal Tender status, as was the Nickel, the Mint worried far less about quality standards on these denominations. This explains some of the issues with the Cents & Nickels issued during the 1920's & '30's. Not really a problem in this case, in my opinion.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
