Government Building Dollar from the 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition in Portland, OR, second type with "1905" date added to the die. H-K lists this as "HK-328" however shows the composition as "Silver". Shevlin lists this as SH 14-3 in Silver-plated Bronze, which is correct, HK-328 as listed presumably not existing. The Silver-plating on these was done very heavily, so it is easy to see how the error could be made. This is Uncirculated Details with hairlines from a cleaning. As such scarce, as almost all specimens I have seen in the Northwest are either cleaned, or show wear through the Silvering. Despite the defects, not entirely unattractive and reasonably scarce, I think maybe a bit scarcer than Shevlin's R-6; I have spent almost 40 years in the Pacific Northwest and do not see too many compared to the Brass varieties. 0329-03

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
