1907-S/S Barber Half Dollar - Tough Date VF+/XF Toned Lightly Cleaned

1907-S Barber Half Dollar, S/S variety. Toed Semi-Key date with choice VF to XF details though coin has been lightly cleaned or wiped. The S/S variety is one of very few varieties recognized within the Barber Half Dollar series. The 1892 Micro O is probably the most well-known and valuable.

There are no other RPM or major varieties or errors recognized by the top two grading services. In fact, of the 2 major grading services, only 1 even will attribute the 1907 S/S (NGC).

Second to last picture shows NGC census and price guide for the 1907 S/S listing it at $410 in VF (total population of 14 across all VF grades) and $550 in XF (total pop of 3 coins)

See last picture and attached closeups of the mint mark as well as ngccoin.com - variety attribution for full details on this RPM. I cannot provide external links in this description per eBay SOP.

NGC Census

This 1907-S/S Barber Half Dollar is toned and has detail very close to, if not fully XF. Full bold Liberty with most of the upper and lower bands. Forehead hair and wreath details virtually complete and most of the 13 obverse stars show 3 dimensionality. On the reverse, the eagle feathers are thick and fluffy, and the wing feathers stretch all the way to the tip of the wings on both the left and right wing. Coin is deeply toned in earthy brown and electric blue highlights. There are some wipe lines buried under the toned patina that are very hard to see unless you are looking for them in the light and tilting the coin at the right angles.
