Here is a 1918 P coin that has been sent to PCGS for restoration and graded as G 6, almost good enough to justify a designation as a VG coin. It was sent in because I was convinced that it was a 2-Feathers coin. (For those unfamiliar with the 2-Feathers variety, frequently the workers at the mint would need to polish the dies. Over time, this polishing removed the highest points in the die, and in this case, would be the 3rd feather behind the neck of the Indian.) While this one is very, very close to being a 2-Feathers coin, one can barely see the imprint of the 3rd feather behind the neck of the Indian. Nevertheless, the die used for this coin was in the very late stages of being over-polished. Nevertheless, my mistake is your gain. Further, for what it is worth, the front of this coin, unlike so many other Buffalo Nickels, is aligned almost perfectly with the reverse. PCGS (January/February 2022) indicates that a G 6 coin to be worth $9 while USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer, you would pay between $6 and $7 for a G 4 coin, and that a VG 8 coin would cost you almost $8. But you can have this restored and graded (and almost 2-Feathers) coin for only $7 (including shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.

To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.

Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me. If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.

Thanks for looking.
