90% of the original luster remains, no heavy marks just some general light scuffing. Technically equivalent to an AU-58, sold as a Net AU-55. This coin was recovered out of a California hoard and in my opinion lightly dipped to remove some toning. If you wish to consider this a "cleaning" so be it, however nothing that I can detect as "hairlines" that I can associate with a physical cleaning, and I do not consider this a problem coin. Any competent numismatist (and any grader at a service) should be able to tell that this coin is not 100% original, however it might very well certify in a normal holder. I think the chance is better than 50-50, I simply did not wish to try at this point, given all the others that are currently at PCGS. Guaranteed genuine, backed by our firm’s 80+ years in the business, plus all the industry “garden salad” (PCGS, CAC, NGC, ANACS, ANA, etc., etc.). If submitted for grading, what I will guarantee is an absolute minimum of AU Details, and at most services a normal AU holder. As an interesting side note, there are some heavy clash marks showing on the Reverse, seen in the extra image provided. A bit of weakness on the Eagle's chest and corresponding area down Liberty's leg may be due to the polishing necessary to try to remove these.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
