1919-S Standing Liberty Quarter F+ Detail Light Cleaning Very Tough Date
Very Elusive Date, this 1919-S Standing Liberty Quarter with F+ Detail has been lightly cleaned or gently wiped with some wispy hairlines when held and tilted in the correct angles, yet retains a nice, dusty gray natural look.
Pleasing eye appeal this coin was housed in an Old Whitman Album as part of a Very Old Collection and has toned up from decades of undisturbed storage.

This coin came from another recent acquisition of a complete album of Standing Liberty Quarters, missing only the 1916, 1923-S and the overdate 1918/7-S. The person who assembled the collection did so in the 1970s and 1980s, long before the internet, and before Third Party Grading. Many of the coins in this collection came from the Downtown Boston Coin Dealers and Jeweler Buildings such as JJ Teaparty, Skinners and Bowers & Merena.
