A 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar US Mint Coin in "Average Circulated" Condition.
The Liberty Walking half dollars of 1916-1947 are celebrated as one of the most beautiful coins ever produced by the U.S. Mint. Designed by prominent sculptor A. A. Weinman, and struck in 90% fine silver, these coins bear a stunning full-length figure of Liberty striding toward the rising sun. The reverse features a richly detailed eagle perched upon a mountain crag. The 1942-S Liberty Walking half dollar was struck during World War II at the San Francisco Mint.
