A 1953 Franklin Half Dollar US Mint Coin in "Good" Condition.

The Franklin half dollars of 1948-1963 represent the last U.S. coin series struck each year in 90% fine silver. The Roosevelt dime and Washington quarter were struck in .900 silver through 1964, after which the composition changed to copper-nickel clad. The Kennedy half dollar was struck in 90% silver only in its debut year of 1964. The 1953 Franklin half dollar was produced at the Philadelphia Mint during Dwight D. Eisenhower`s first year as president of the United States.
