This is one of 14 1976 Montreal Olympic $10 92.5% sterling silver coins being listed, that have toning or stain issues on one or both sides, and in some cases on edge reeding and are therefore being offered at, or below, silver melt value. These coins have all been weighed to ensure authenticity.
$10 silver Olympic coins weigh 48.6 grams and contain 1.44 troy oz of silver
For comparison purposes, pre- 1922 Morgan and pre 1936 Peace dollars contain 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, or about half as much silver.
