Interesting History about the $2.00 Note. Thomas Jefferson has been given credit for writing most of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and Jefferson's picture is the face on this Note. The reverse side of the Note is a picture of the signing of the Declaration of Independence! Another interesting point is that next year (2026), will be the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. One more thought is the fact that Thomas Jefferson passed away on the 50th Anniversary of the signing of Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1826)!
I have acquired several US Currency Notes over the years when buying Coin Collections. Basically, I am a Coin Collector, and never spent much time studying currency.
