This is a second 2006 S I have now.

It is a perfect dime with a Full Torch and Full Split Bands. FB-FT

Anything you see on the coin is not on the coin but the capsule. Little bits of dust of from the cotton gloves. But no scratches or toning is on this coin yet. I looked at this coin under magnification and it is as far as I can tell. Perfect PF70 pretty easy. And now its in a capsule for lts life or until I decide to sell my coins.

Tip: If collecting silver coins. Make sure you buy the proper Air-Tite for them. I have learned that the BCW 2X2 plastic holders are not good for silver. Too much air inside them and they are not as air tight as they claim to be. I was lucky enough because I watch my coins under magnification testing holders to see that one of my coins was actually starting to spot. I was lucky enough the spot was so small I could see it only under magnification to removed it with a Q Tip very gently! And then get it into a Airtite round snap holder that are truly air tight. No I am not saying this because I sell them. Because in fact I do not sell them. I am telling you this because although they look nice with black around the coin, they suck for air tight quality!

What is oxidization? Well its actually your coin exposed to oxygen slow burning. In a smaller area with less air in it, it will use up this oxygen and stop burning. Just like when you put a match and take away its oxygen it goes out right? Same thing! But the more air in the container, the longer it burns causing more damage. Another tip, once your coin in inside the coin holder airtite. LEAVE IT IN IT! Don't open it back up to keep looking at your coins. And place a small thin piece of felt or something very soft between each coin capsule to keep them from scratching each other. Only bring your coins out onto a felt cloth or something that will not scratch the capsule. This way your capsule will look just as nice as your coin for years to come and stop the need for replacing the coin capsule having to take it out of it exposing it. Yes some of my capsules are scratched but I buy them cheaper that way when I can. But that is all they will ever be scratched since I would rather take up the amount of one coin in a tube to protect my coin and its holder. I do have new ones I have bought years ago. Guess what? They still look new!
