2013-S Arnold&Bradley 5 Star General Commemorative Half Dollar -NGC PF69 ULTRA CAMEO

The US Mint issued 3 coins as part of a program to recognize and celebrate the 5-Star Generals of the United States Army. Two of the five individuals to hold this distinction were featured on a clad composition half dollar.

General Henry "Hap" Arnold – Father of the Air Force – Arnold learned to fly from the Wright brothers while in the Signal Corps. He pioneered the airplane radio's use to report observations, organized aerial fire patrol in the West and became Chief of the Army Air Forces, overseeing WWII air campaigns in the Pacific & European theaters.

General Omar N. Bradley – Nicknamed the GI's general – Bradley looked out for GIs serving under him. He commanded soldiers in North Africa, Sicily and watched from a ship in the Atlantic as his men waded ashore during the D-Day invasion of Normandy.
