He pioneered the airplane radio's use to report observations, organized aerial fire patrol in the West and became Chief of the Army Air Forces, overseeing WWII air campaigns in the Pacific & European theaters.
General Omar N. Bradley – Nicknamed the GI's general – Bradley looked out for GIs serving under him. He commanded soldiers in North Africa, Sicily and watched from a ship in the Atlantic as his men waded ashore during the D-Day invasion of Normandy.
