Germany, Bavarian Agricultural Association, Medal of Merit for “hard working and honest workers”, .8333 fine silver (I assume), 34.4 mm in diameter and 7 mm thick, weight 28.86 grams, (thaler weight ) edge ornamented with bound hay. Obverse has a plow circa 1810. This medal type was struck during the reign Max. Joseph,1806-1825. Though not dated or signed it is very likely a product of the Munich mint and shares many similarities with the school prize ¼, ½, and 1 thaler Coins of the same era. The obverse legend is “Der Landwirthschaftliche Verein In Baiern”. Reverse in wreath “Dem Fleissicen Und Redlichen Dienstbothen.” The loop at the top could very well be original issue or at least added by the original recipent. This medal is in EF condition. Price includes postage to any USA address. Payment by check or money order only.
