Item Description
This 2019 $2 coin is the first ever legal tender coin shaped like a shark. The coin will come in a mint capsule with a Certificate of Authenticity and a booklet describing more information about the Great White Shark. This coin has a very limited mintage of 2,500 coins. The coin is issued and backed by the Solomon Islands and was purchased directly from the Royal Canadian Mint.
The obverse of this Shark Silver Coin will feature the face, gills, and fins of the vicious Great White Shark. The reverse of this Great White Shark Coin will feature the iconic right profile of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the words “SOLOMON ISLANDS”, “2 DOLLARS”, “2019”, & “ELIZABETH II”. To her right are the words “1 OZ”, “999.9 Ag”, and the coin’s unique serial number. Above that will be the words “GREAT WHITE SHARK”.
The original package that holds the coin has never been opened so the unique serial number of coin is unknown.
