Lot: 29 Coins 1917-1920 Walking Liberty Half Dollars Worn Cull AG G VG - Read Description

This auction is for a group of 29 early date, 1917 to 1920 Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Most of the coins are well worn and/or cleaned. A handful are G and a couple even VG

Many have been cleaned, have scratches or minor rim nicks or bruises, partial dates (especially the 1920 coins), etc. No coins are holed or bent.

These coins are being offered at $315.

Ar $315, the average cost per coin is under $11 each, $10.86 each to be exact, or, less than

22x face value.
Junk silver halves are trading at 20-22x face value today so pretty much no premium to junk silver.

The coins are positioned to go chronologically, top to bottom (1917 at top rows, 1920 coins on the bottom). Mint marks go P, D then S

Here is a quick rundown of the 29-coin composition:

1917 (first 6 coins): All are AG or G. Several are cleaned and a couple have rim nicks. One of the 5 has damage in the form of what looks like machine damage.

1918-P (next 3 coins): The first one, has 2 full rims and is borderline VG and problem free. The next two are AG/G.

1918-D (4 coins): the 1st, 3rd and 4th are all G while the 2nd one (the bright one) has VG/F detail but has been harshly cleaned and is heavily hair lined.

1918-S (7 coins): 4 or 5 are AG/G and the other two are G and G/VG. None have rim damage, scratches or other problems to speak of other than probably having been cleaned.

1919 - Only the last 9 is really visible on the date. Keeping in mind, the 1929 coins are either Denver or San Francisco, and this coin is a Philadelphia mint issue, the fact this has no mint mark means it has to be a 1919 as the designs after 1921 were different than pre-1921 in terms of the skirt and other features. This coin is very worn and has rim damage around 2:00 on the obverse.

1920 (5 coins): All 5 are AG and have except for the last one pictured, have partial dates.

1920-S (3 coins): The first and second coins have partial dates and are AG. The last one has a full date and is G.
