We almost never apply the adjective Gem or Gem BU to raw coins understanding just how difficult it is to obtain those grades from the top two Third Party Grading Services. Overusing this term diminishes the value of coins truly deserving of this descriptor. It's also blatantly false to use that term so casually and lightly.
BU Rolls of US Coinage are predominantly lower grade, not the "Gem BU" portrayed by most. Gems are rare. Not every coin or roll is "Gem BU".
We DO NOT apply the term GEM BU casually, and certainly not any of the original rolls we sell. It's incorrect to label an entire roll gem as if gem is the norm or commonplace.
Gems are rare. To describe an entire roll of 50 coins as "Gem", is irresponsible and totally false. On average, one would do very well to get 10-20% Gem level coins in the average roll.
The roll of 50 coins in the photos is the exact roll you will receive.
