A Beautiful Winston Churchill "Victory and Peace" Medal, With Gorgeous Colorful Toning! A Mirror-Like, Proof Strike Medal. Uniquely displaying Churchill's famous "V for Victory" hand sign. Metal type unknown. This 26mm diameter medal is nicely housed in a custom-made, hard, acrilyc, 2" x 2" holder, with labeling on the front: "Sir Winston Churchill, 1875-1965, Victory and Peace". Presumably these were struck in Great Britain shortly after Winston Churchill's death in 1965. These medals are 57 years old and perfectly preserved, and will make an excellent addition to any collection. Obverse: Rim Inscription: "1874 - 1965; Sir Winston Churchill" Right-facing portrait of Winston Churchill Reverse: Rim Inscription: "In War - Resolution; In Peace - Good Will". Image of Winston Churchill's hand in his famous " V for Victory" hand sign. Mintmarks (unidentified) on bottom of rim.
