This is an extremely attractive 1861 Indian Cent in grade XF-40. Were it not for one small contact mark in the center of the Indian's cheek this coin would be contact mark free. The original copper nickel patina is highlighted by sharp detail on the bottom of the feathers, on the shield lines, and on the leaves in the wreath. All of the diamonds are full on the ribbon except for the third one from the bottom. A little more defition on the top of the feathers and luster are the only two things keeping this beautiful coin from making AU. (Stock #01c1861140 Three Diamonds LURBAP)
