Here is an 1888 Liberty "V" Nickel which has a technical grade of Very Fine but due to unnatural appearance it gets a VF Details. Now the question is VF Details hypen what at this point. You be the judge of that. I can say that this coin is NOT corroded and it is NOT cleaned. I think some kind of liquid or something like that got on the coin to make it this way and that would equal VF Details-Environmental Damage. All together tough for a "Details" coin it is not all that bad. I have seen and passed up many that are much worse. Here is your chance to get a semi key date Liberty "V" Nickel in a higher circulated grade for a fraction of the price.
