A tough to find coin in choice XF, especially in an old small white ANACS holder

Very choice surfaces albeit softly struck. Traces of luster throughout the devices. To a lesser experienced eye, it might look a little over graded. Obviously New Orleans coins are famous for being softly struck. As the designs are consistently lightly worn and luster remains, I think ANACS got it right. Maybe it's better as a 40. Regardless the original surfaces and old style "soapbox" style holder more than make up for what might be lacking with the coins strike
