1926-D Lincoln Cent

This 1926-D Lincoln Cent has an attractive strike with sharply defined details on the lines and leaves in the wheat stalks. 26-D is a very underrated date in grades XF and above. Note that as though as it is to find a decent 1926-D with a SHARP STRIKE in XF, the value doubles in the next grade up of AU. Look below "RI" in "AMERICA" on the reverse. Those diagonal lines are not scratches but actually three black color lines. To the immediate right of them those dots are actually a defect in the planchet. The only thing in this area that you are seeing that truly is a contact mark would be the small dot at the top of the "C" in "AMERICA" but it is not all that noticeable.
