the first coin issued in the first year of the 50 States Quarters series...
I took a lot of pics to make up for the mylar glare and see how nice the coin is. that is mint packaging and the coin resides in a mint set to will be cut out when the auction ends.
the error seems to be from over-polishing at the mint and is like the three legged buffalo and the three legged bison.
the saddle is not supposed to have an empty space between it and the horse's rump. compare to a normal coin. the line across the horse's back is not broken as it is behind the saddle on this one.
also check out the IN GOD WE TRUST from the obverse. it looks doubled but there are 100s of unattributed quarter errors.
