Item Description
Possibility the most famous of Leonardo's paintings "Mona Lisa" c. 1503 on display in The Louvre, Paris. It is part of "The Genius of Leonardo da Vinci", a Franklin Mint collection of sterling silver proof medals.
This sterling silver proof coin is 42mm or 1.5" in diameter and .92oz or 28.5g
The medals in this collection portray the greatest works of renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. An international board of art scholars from the Vatican Museum, the Louvre, and such distinguished universities as Oxford, Munich, Milan, the Academy in Venice and the University of California assisted in the selection of the works to be honored in this collection. This original set was produced in the 1970's.
