1943 P 3 Over 2 Wartime Jefferson Nickel - 1943 3/2 Silver War Nickel

This is a doubled die Jefferson Wartime Nickel variety where the 3 is stamped over the 2. It is actually the entire date 1943 stamped over 1942 and the entire date is slightly doubled. In the left-side of the image depicted above: The 3/2 variety will have a distinctive sharp hook on the bottom end of the three which looks similar to a barb on a hook. Sometimes the 4 will appear doubled and wider as well. The right-side image depicts a normal 1943 date for comparison.
