Seller did a really good job of disguising the dent in the obverse side of the coin in his pictures; it wasn't until I received it that I realized it was there. Now I know why he went down on the price so much, it's because it's damaged. He stated that the "Mint mark was ground off" on the listing, but that's not really the case, it looks like somebody tried to hole it and then ground off the bottom to try and fix it. The coin is pretty much melt value at this point, I would certainly tread carefully when buying from this seller.

Reply by edkienzl: I'm very sure that there was not a dent in the coin when I shipped, May have happened in shipping. Send me a picture and I will return your money. I think your being ignorant dealing with it in this way. I didn't toy with any pictures, You should have let me know and we could have worked it out. Return the coin. You bought something that you were warned about and the price of the coin was very reduced to start with. You appear to be the one a person should not do business with!! Return it and I will refund!

Although a heavily circulated specimen this is a coin that still shows a clear date and major features of the design making it a good type specimen for my collection as I didn’t have a Classic Head design Large Cent. Well packaged and good service. For 215 years old it still has some meat left.
