There are some situations such as bidding against a reserve and not achieving reserve.....but then the seller drops the reserve....where a potential buyer such as myself does not think they have won or hasn't reached an obligation to pay (failed to meet reserve). But a bid is a bid.....and a promise....I just think this cool web page has a weakness when it comes to auctions and the sellers dropping their reserve price. People like me who bid below reserve pretty much think "Ok--my bid isn't enough" and we give up and start to take our money elsewhere. When the reserve is dropped....we suddenly become committed buyers, sometimes unexpectedly.
