One major variety is the 1805/4 Draped Bust Half Dollar overdate. This coin features an 1805 date struck over an 1804 date which resulted in a "5" Over "4" in the date. Parts of the underlying "4" are easily identifiable around the "5" - particularly on the right side of the number as depicted by the arrows in the example closeup image below:
